Busy me… Stamping of Tenancy Agreement…

Well… just an update on my day today… Morning, sent khayra to nursery, surf internet and then head to LHDN in Plaza Perangsang at Shah Alam… Noon, went directly to KLIA and had McD for lunch while waiting for my parents and brother arrived from Hong Kong… Evening, picked up Khayra, went back home, unpacked Hong Kong stuffs, surf the net and then its night already…

Nothing much… to write about. hehehehe Actually I want to highlight the time when I went to LHDN this morning… for those who does not know what LHDN means, it actually means Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri a.k.a. IRB… so what makes me want to go there? Am I due for taxes?? of course not… I’m an honest tax paying citizen… hehehehe

I went there to actually get my tenancy agreement stamped or “matikan setem” by LHDN.. this is actually to legalize the tenancy agreement that I had for my house in Bangi… so why legalize the tenancy agreement you may ask??? and why have the tenancy agreement in the first place??

hehehe I only have one answer for that…. to lower my commitments.. so that I can show to banks that I have a side income to make it easier for me to apply additional loans…

now… this is my first time going to LHDN for the stamping, so I did go back and forth to actually fill up the forms… what forms to fill?? which counter to go?? what’s the procedures?? does anyone have a pen??? hahahaha thanks to the LHDN, they have provided a guide to how to get the stamping… you may find it at any announcement board near to the forms… hehehehe oh ya.. very important, bring your own pen…. i repeat, bring your own pen or get ready to ask the next person to borrow the pen.. its hard.. believe me…

ok…  as a guide for other beginners like me, to get your Tenancy Agreement stamped by LHDN, first you have to fill up the PDS 1 form.. that is the main form… please remember to fill in all the particular in the forms except for the stamping amount which will be determined by the LHDN staff… next.. forget to fill in the PDS 49 (a) form.. this is actually the form which you will have to fill all the details of your tenancy agreement… once you have fill in both of the forms, wait for your turn, and once your number is called, pass all the forms and the Tenancy Agreement(s) to the counter… they will inform you of how much you have to pay… just pay the amount and wait till your Tenancy Agreement is stamped… once finished they will called you an viola… your tenancy agreement is stamped…. easy aint it???
